Awards
Annual banquet
Every year, at Passaconaway Lodge’s Annual Banquet, we take the time to recognize the accomplishments of our Arrowmen over the previous year. These awards are nominated by lodge members and voted upon by the lodge officers. Awards are subject to change each year, but generally include the following:
- Chapter Chief of the Year
- Chapter Advisor of the Year
- Chapter of the Year
- Committee Chair of the Year
- Committee Advisor of the Year
Ceremonies Team Award
The pocket patches for Ceremonies Team are available. There are individual forms to be filled out to apply for the patches. The eligibility dates run from Sept. 1 of each year through August 31 of the next year. See the Ceremonies Advisor for individual requirements.
Arrowman of the year
Every year, Passaconaway Lodge gives out an adult & youth award for Arrowman of the Year. The recipient is recognized for their outstanding service and dedication to the lodge over the previous year. The recipient is also awarded the James E. West Fellowship Award, with $1000 donated by the lodge to Daniel Webster Council’s endowment fund.
Founder’s Award
Introduced at the 1981 National Order of the Arrow Conference, the Founder’s Award recognizes Arrowmen who have given outstanding service to their lodge. The award is reserved for an Arrowman who demonstrates that he or she personifies the spirit of selfless service, as advocated by founder E. Urner Goodman and cofounder Carroll A. Edson.
Lodges may petition the national Order of the Arrow committee to present between two and four awards annually, depending on the number of members in the lodge. If the lodge presents more than one award, at least one must be awarded to a youth under the age of 21.
