OA Spring Fellowship Weekend
May 17-19, 2024 @ Camp Carpenter
****Check-in will be at the Camp Carpenter Manning Hall****
Please arrive on Friday, May 17th between 5:30 and 7:30pm
Dismissal is after the Lodge Business Meeting at about 11:00am

Fellowship weekends are the largest lodge events of the year. During these weekends, we welcome new members into the Order of the Arrow, provide much-needed service to the camps, and gather with our current members for Fun and Fellowship.
The purpose of the Ordeal is to have candidates reflect on their own Scout life, character, and come to a deeper understanding of the Scout Oath and the Order’s principles. This purpose is realized through a fourfold Ordeal that includes sleeping alone, silence, work, and a limited amount of food. No hazing or endangerment of a Scout’s safety is allowed.
Newly elected candidates for membership in the Order of the Arrow must complete the Ordeal and be inducted into the OA by the lodge that serves the council in which the unit is chartered. This allows the candidates to bond with their contemporaries as they go through the Ordeal and creates a positive leadership environment in which they can progress. If you have been an Ordeal member of the Lodge for six months, the Fellowship Weekend is the perfect opportunity to seal your membership in the Lodge by becoming a Brotherhood Member. Sign-up as a Brotherhood Candidate, then come to the weekend to help out and learn more about the OA, ending with your induction ceremony.
After the Ceremonies on Saturday night, all Brothers will gather for Food! Fun! and Fellowship!
In addition to the ordeal. Saturday, May 18th, will also be a Friends of Camp Carpenter Workday.
2024 Lodge Dues
It’s time to renew your membership in the Order of the Arrow! Passaconaway Lodge has exciting new things planned for you this year! Don’t miss out on these great opportunities … make sure you stay connected by paying your annual dues!
Why should I pay dues? Dues keep you listed as an active member of Passaconaway Lodge. Only active members will receive emailed/paper mailed information and newsletters, as well as count towards our lodge membership list. You must also be dues-paying in order to attend our top-quality OA events throughout the year, such as Fun Weekend, Spring Fellowship, Fall Fellowship, and Black Bear Jamboree, as well as other great opportunities that the OA can offer.
You must be currently registered in the BSA to be in the OA.
The annual dues have been set at $20. You may pay online, however a service fee will be charged as well. If you prefer to not pay online, continue with the on-line registration and select Pay by Mail and email Linda Hamel at linda.hamel@lodge220.org for payment options.
Every dues paying member of 2024 will receive a free Annual Member patch.
